deadline extended!

There have been lots of requests over the last few days to extend the deadline for the CFP just a little, so we thought we’d open up this possibility for everyone still wanting to submit a proposal. Thanks to all those who got their abstracts in already — for everyone else there is now Friday, 17 July 2015 to work towards!

Seven days …

The countdown is on: seven days until the CFP closes! Abstracts have been coming in steadily since the beginning of June: if you want yours to be considered, please make sure we receive it by this time next week: 30 June 2015!

A word (or four) of thanks

Website’s up & running (if still a little skimpy on content) and some thanks are in order:

  1. to Dave Ciccoricco for patiently teaching me WordPress 101;
  2. to Rebecca Stringer for introducing me to the perfect bizarreness that is  “The Isolator”: Hugo Gernsback’s 1925 invention for blocking out outside noise so as to encourage mental focus & concentration;
  3. to all three keynote speakers for enthusiastically accepting our invitation to be part of this event;
  4. to the Divison of Humanties at the University of Otago for providing the necessary seed-funding to make it happen.
